Plastic Surgery For Ethnic Patients Up 13 Percent
Filed Under Plastic Surgery |
There is an interesting article about plastic surgery procedures among ethnic patients being up 13 percent in 2007. Around 657,000 plastic surgery procedures were performed on non white individuals. The majority of these individuals are made up of Hispanics, African Americans, and Asian Americans.
The majority of African Americans are requesting nose reshaping, liposuction, and breast reductions. The Asian Americans are requesting nose reshaping, breast augmentation, and eyelid surgery. The Hispanics are requesting breast augmentation, nose reshaping, and liposuction.
This is an amazing thing. Up until recently the most common patient has been a Caucasian female. The fact that plastic surgery is becoming more diverse among ethnicities is great. Everyone needs to feel good about themselves and now as more individuals from these ethnicities have procedures done, more will feel that it is ok for them to do it as well.
Our Guide To Plastic Surgery in Fort Worth will continue to research on this subject this year and will add additional details as we are made known about them.
